Harvested in Hakodate, Hokkaido, this early-harvest Ma Kombu is gently boiled, thinly sliced, and dried into easy-to-use mini sheets designed for home kitchens. When soaked, the kelp expands up to 20 times in volume, softening into delicate strands with clean ocean aroma and balanced umami. The smaller sheet format makes portioning simple. A versatile Japanese sea vegetable that adds subtle savory complexity.
