The House of Umami works with professional chefs, private chefs, restaurants, catering businesses, hospitality professionals, sommeliers, and other culinary professionals seeking access to carefully selected Japanese ingredients.
Requirements for Pro Chef Access:
- You are an active culinary professional working in a restaurant, private dining, catering, hospitality, or a related foodservice role.
- A business website, restaurant page, or professional Instagram account is required so that we can verify your professional activity.
How to Apply:
Complete the Pro Chef Application below. We typically review applications within 1–2 business days. Once approved, you will receive an approval email and can log in to access chef-only pricing, seasonal offerings, and exclusive products.

Independent chefs and small operations are welcome — we support professional kitchens of all sizes.
Fields below marked with * are required.
A business website, restaurant page, or professional Instagram account helps us verify your professional role. If you don’t have one, please provide other proof of your professional background or include a brief note in your application.
We do not offer complimentary sample shipments. However, many products can be ordered in small quantities, including single units, so you can try them before placing a larger order.
We usually review applications within 1–2 business days. You’ll receive an approval email once your Pro Chef account has been approved.
We currently ship to eligible addresses in U.S. states except Alaska, as well as the District of Columbia. We do not currently ship to U.S. territories or APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses.

U.S. Chef Account Support
Our Pro Chef account program is supported and administered by Ys and Partners, Inc. (“YS US”), a California corporation.
Approved B2B chef account orders paid by invoice or ACH are sold and processed by YS US.
For approved B2B chef accounts, YS US handles customer service, invoicing, ACH payment coordination, fulfillment, and delivery within the United States.
